Millar Property Consultants is delighted to have advised on the redevelopment of the lower and upper school sites at Hertswood Academy in Borehamwood, enabling a sale of the upper school site to Bellway Homes, which, in turn, drove the funding of the construction of a new Academy on the lower school site.
Hertswood Academy is situated in 30 acres of land, located on the edge of Borehamwood Town Centre in Hertfordshire.
The residential scheme, now under construction by Bellway Homes, comprises of 306 new homes, being 1 and 2 bed apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom houses on the former upper school site.
The new integrated Academy is also being constructed on the lower school site.
The Academy will provide an 8-form entry Secondary School, accommodating approximately 1,400 pupils (including 200 sixth form pupils), as well as the locally known, ARK Theatre and Sports Centre.
